What is the ATHENA Award Program?

In 1985, the Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce hosted the first ATHENA award program in New York State with founding sponsor Randall Farnsworth Auto Group.

The ATHENA Award program has evolved to recognize the noteworthy accomplishments and demonstrated leadership of outstanding women in the Canandaigua area. Each year, one woman is honored for her business and professional excellence, her community leadership, and for her commitment to assisting women.

The Canandaigua Chamber of Commerce and the Canandaigua BPW work in cooperation to present the annual ATHENA Award.
