Ashley Osinski, a music teacher from the Clyde-Savannah School District and a Fusion Kick Fit participant, spent the last 6 weeks preparing for the 7th Annual Sensei Jim Grafe Memorial Karate Tournament. She is one of my hardest working, and most diligent martial arts students I have ever encountered. This week she had to put on a music concert on Thursday, and this coming week prepare for 2 music concert at the Clyde Elementary School. Yet this did not distraught her from competing in this tournament.

She lost to a very close split discussion in the over time portion of the karate match and came in third place in the Beginner over 18 Females Full Contact Division(also known as Semi Full Contact Kyokushin Karate – due to the use of headgear and gloves).

I was disappointed in the tournament “Bye System” I feel that the competitor who has a “Bye” and lost should have to fight again to determine for 2nd and 3rd place. I need to bring it up to tournament director.

I am super proud of Ashley, and she dutifully deserved her Orange Belt Karate Ranking.
