Fundraiser for Japan Disaster Relief

Martial arts instructors from across the Rochester areas are joining forces to provide an afternoon of fitness training in martial arts, with all proceeds benefiting the Japanese earthquake and tsunami relief effort.

Avi Nardia Academy in Henrietta NY will be hosting an afternoon of “Body in Flux”, a functional and intuitive combative body movement for strength and conditioning for fitness and martial arts.

Training is free, participants are encouraged to donate to Japanese Relief. This is a family friendly fitness event.

Training will be lead by four Master Japanese Martial Arts Instructors Shihan Jose Rivera, Mario Caletz, Christopher Shabazz and Avi Nardia.

Avi Nardia lived, trained and studied martial arts in Japan for seven years. He has traveled extensively to Japan for the last 20 years. He returned from a trip to Japan two days before the earthquake and tsunami.

Students who want to participate will be asked to make an anonymous donation into a box that will be sealed for such purpose. 100% of the money collected will be donated to the RED CROSS to Support the victims of the tsunami that hit Japan.
