Clyde, NY.—  Congratulations to Evander Russ who was selected to represent United States in the 4th World KUDO Championships held in Tokyo, Japan on November 14-16, 2014.

On September 28, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio, Evander competed and fought for a spot on the newly form Kudo USA competition team. Evander has been training at Fusion Mixed Martial Arts, located in Clyde, NY for the last three years, and is currently finishing his Bachelor Degree at SUNY Oswego. He is the current White Hall Athletic Club Welter Weight Mixed Martial Arts title holder and has competed in Thai Boxing, Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

The Kudo International Federation is based in Tokyo, Japan and is an official Japanese Cultural Budō sport under the same category as Judo, Aikido and Kendo.

Kudo is recognized by over ten national Olympic committees and is currently in 50 countries.

The founder, Takashi Azuma, created a martial art style which incorporated punches to the head and body, elbow strikes, headbutts, judo throws, and jiu-jitsu joint locks without compromising safety.
