Every so often I encounter a martial arts book, or a self help book that have profound impact on my thinking or life. Yesterday I found a really good book that combines two of my favorite genres, Martial Arts and Self Help.

I am only on chapter 2 and I am already seeing how some tactical and strategic error that I have been making in pursuing some of my dreams, goals and aspiration.

For a while now I have been creating a running list of books that my students should read to be award their black belt from me. This book will be on my list.

It addresses warfare from a Navy Seal point of view with no nonsense take on neutralizing your target. This book can be applied to our every day life when it comes to accomplish goals or tasks that have many obstacles.

I will be devoting an entire section on my website about this book and what I have learn from it.

As a martial artist I feel that every night when I am at the Dojo practicing, training, sparring, drilling, fighting, hitting, grappling, wrestling, and throwing. I am not learning how to defeat my enemy, rather I am learning more about myself and what I can do when I am confronted with challenges, fears, and obstacles. Learning how to kick someone’s butt is just the icing on the cake
